--- title: "19-06-13 Transcendent Self-Awareness" visibility: public --- # 19-06-13 Transcendent Self-Awareness Category: [[idea-lists-upon-request|Idea Lists (Upon Request)]] [Read the original document](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aW6BuA3m4zKHfHUrGmdwxGLYqjsnx1z02PeIloKZXdg/edit?usp=drivesdk&sa=D&ust=1596495076788000&usg=AOvVaw0JRY4YXnnzukx2ol9RC6OD) <!-- gdoc-inlined --> --- 1. Write about the values that others have that you don’t value or value less. 2. Write about the values you hold more strongly than other people. 3. Look at your major actions, projects, and failures over the past year. List the drivers of their successes and of their failures. 4. Time Tracking 5. Emotional Tracking 6. Subjectively, watch and write your emotional reactions to every experience for 10-15m. 1. Ask what reactions were possible. 7. Insane personal vulnerability via internal family systems radical honesty 1. Have your parts talk to themselves, using their fear of revelation as the trigger for what they must say 8. Ask what the subconscious drivers of your behavior are 1. There are noble and ignoble drives behind almost all projects and relationships - go one by one, pointing out the good and bad drivers of each 9. For everything you claim to want, ask what else you would still want if you got it (core transformation style) 10. Journal / Free Write 1. Read the journaling of your past self 11. Write about the truths you can’t handle (the truths you wish weren’t true, or often tacitly deny) to get a sense of the kind of confirmation bias you have 12. Write down the value system you’re living out, in practice 13. Write down everyone you have the most respect for / consider as heroes / would want to be or become (or if you’re too arrogant to handle that truth, who have traits you’d like to emulate) 14. Write down your thought loops - what thoughts have recurred recently, again and again 15. Look at the transitions in your thoughts, and the emotions and triggers that guide those transitions. Write down a few of these chains of mental experience. 16. Look at conversations at the level of emotional states bouncing off one another rather than over what is concretely said 1. Eg., my desire for her to change said A, her insecurity and fear of failure as well as her value misalignment said B, my unseeing of her misalignment and projection of my own self efficacy onto her said C, etc. Other / References: * https://markmanson.net/self-awareness * --- *Source: [Original Google Doc](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aW6BuA3m4zKHfHUrGmdwxGLYqjsnx1z02PeIloKZXdg/edit?usp=drivesdk&sa=D&ust=1596495076788000&usg=AOvVaw0JRY4YXnnzukx2ol9RC6OD)*
